About this deal

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. If the Wraithlord can tank as well as I’m hoping then you’ve got a very well rounded box. The Verdict? Formed around a core of redoubtable, objective-grabbing Guardians , this Combat Patrol offers a force that embodies everything the Aeldari are famed for – speed, psychic abilities, and withering firepower. It’s led by a sagacious Farseer, who can dish out mortal wounds and tweak the Strands of Fate in between supporting the CORE -keyworded Guardians and Wraithlord. I’d consider having some fun and getting some more of the specialist units like Fire Dragons, Swooping Hawks or Dire Avengers. But really, you need to probably lean into the speed of this list. Perhaps drop the Wraithlord and think about more bikes or things like Swooping Hawks etc.

What’s Good and Bad about this Box? The Aeldari Combat Patrol box offers a robust start to your Aeldari force. The units complement each other beautifully, with the Farseer’s psychic might enhancing the capabilities of the Guardians and Windriders. The Wraithlord, while not as nimble, adds much-needed toughness and heavy firepower to the army. In conclusion, the Aeldari Combat Patrol box earns a solid 7/7 for its harmonious unit selection and the strategic depth it offers. Though the Aeldari may not be the most durable, they more than make up for it with their psychic abilities, speed, and grace, making them a rewarding and engaging faction to master. For the Craftworlds!Ah, the Blood Angels– noble and civilised sons of Sanguinius, most handsome, tragic, star-crossed and pretty of all the Emperor’s ‘Primarch’ sons. These renaissance Italy-themed space marines are among the most storied and popular chapters of the Adeptus Astartes. Does battling with a mix of powerful psykers, lightning-fast warriors, and esoteric wargear sound like your favoured way of waging war? If so, then Combat Patrol: Aeldari is for you. This boxed set provides you with all the units you need to get started, or to reinforce an existing army of Aeldari or Ynnari. The contents of this set have been specifically chosen to provide you with an ideal Aeldari force for Combat Patrol-sized games – approximately 25 Power Level's worth of models, which can be built in a variety of ways – and will also save you money compared to buying the contents individually. Of the 25 miniatures in the Orks Combat Patrol, 24 were brand new on the set’s release, including 20 new Ork Boyz, three Deffkoptas, and a Warboss in mega-armour. The Deff Dread isn’t a new sculpt, but is as shooty and stompy as ever. As our only HQ we’ve kitted him out a bit. He has the Kournous’ Bow relic which replaces his standard Shuriken Pistol. It gives him 6″ of extra range to 18″ as well as an additional 2 shots on the Shuriken Pistol’s 1. With a pip more strength means it’ll hit on 2’s and wound Space Marines on 3’s, but with added benefit that any successful wounds are mortal wounds (MW).

Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this army to a brand new player. I’m not going to lie: this list is going to be fighting an uphill battle. Until you get the hang of positioning and how to really dissect an opponent’s army it’s gonna be rough. But it’s thematic and rewarding to play! If you’re up for a challenge then have at it! The Aeldari once ruled the galaxy, before their civilisation collapsed beneath the weight of its own hedonism. Now the Asuryani sail the stars aboard massive vessels called craftworlds, their citizens keeping to highly disciplined Paths to avoid drowning in the same decadent madness as their ancestors. Each craftworld's Guardians take up arms to defend their dying race, wielding deadly shuriken catapults or power blades, or shredding foes atop their swift Windrider jetbikes. Guided by the wisdom of their Farseers, supported by the advanced firepower of their sleek Wraithlord constructs, the Aeldari fight to survive in a galaxy where extinction seems inevitable. Second, the Combat Patrol versions of each faction’s datasheets army rules are different from their main Index. Datasheets are simpler, and armies have access to different Stratagems, and enhancements. Then there’s the Crusade section, which is a cool way to grow and develop your army as you play games, as units earn experience and gain new skills and armaments. Tell epic stories of conflict and triumph as you blood a force of fresh troops and mould them into hardened veterans armed with legendary relics of war. Towering over its allies, the Wraithlord is both unstoppable force and immovable object. These powerful wraithbone constructs can be configured for ranged or melee combat, plugging gaps in your battleline and hitting the enemy where it hurts most. With all of the Leviathan-related buzz going around lately, it’s easy to forget that the rest of the galaxy is embroiled in equally bloody battles – even between those who could otherwise be kin. Despite their shared blood, the Aeldari and Drukhari harbour little love for one other – as seen in today’s exciting episode of Battle Report. GW has used two methods to attempt to balance the boxes against one another. First, although the models in the box set may have many weapon options, there’s a particular loadout you’re supposed to equip your models with.
