It was good and had some new/useful info but on the whole I would have preferred a lot more information and less chat/opinion. Each chapter guides you through the hormonal milestones most women experience: I explore how nutrition plays a role across our menstrual cycle; how our fitness is shaped by our physical make-up; how our hormones affect our mental health across our lifespan; and how sleep can save your sanity, no matter the day of the month – plus 50 new, nourishing recipes. He suffered a massive stroke as the family were sitting at the dinner table at their Cocklehill home and his death inspired her to become a doctor. Approx 50% of the book is recipes rather than focusing on female health, I feel the author missed the opportunity to create a fantastic book here.

Think of us as your trusted friends sharing healthy insights and prescribing ways to live life to the fullest, fuelled with lots of delicious recipes, empowering workouts, and self-love. Like all doctors working the NHS, she was pitched headlong into caring for seriously ill Covid patients, at a time when very little was known about this new disease. I did enjoy it but I found some parts too simplified and others too scientific (that I would tune out).

She studied at the University of South Wales, and it was when she was in her final year that she started The Food Medic Blog, sharing recipes and tips on healthy eating. This bold, comprehensive guide to understanding women's health shakes up the narrative for women of all ages.
